Before the advent of cars and paved roads, the entrance hall was a standard architectural feature in many homes. Travel was a messier business back then, and it was necessary to remove soiled outerwear before entering the main part of the home.
For this reason, every entrance hall contained some form of hall rack. The seat of the Hall Rack opens to store gloves and related items. Seely designed the two-seat model for higher traffic households.
Handbuilt in Oak or Cherry.
