 "This is a tall, tester-style bed with small "bee-hive" finials, similar to an antique bed I found in a French chateau in the Loire Valley. I noticed that the testers were taller than most beds and that they gave the room a certain elegance. Not having a ruler or tape measure, I used my size-eleven shoe and realized the bed was about six to seven inches higher than other tester beds I had seen."
